Sony wrapped its weekend-long Playstation Experience event in Las Vegas with a rush of news regarding the highest-selling game console on the market.
The conference was an opportunity for Sony to announce upcoming releases, reveal gameplay trailers, and address the current state of its place in the gaming industry.
Among the announcements were gameplay reveals for Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4, a January 27, 2015 release for Grim Fandango: Remastered, and Playstation-exclusive content from Bungie. They also announced several PS Vita ports, including The Banner Saga and Suidoken 1 & 2.
The company had teased the Experience event in the weeks leading up to the weekend with cryptic videos and messages for fans. The event coincided with The Game Awards, also held in Las Vegas, on December 5th.
Sony also used the event to smooth over worries after a string of recent hacks had infiltrated company computers. Most of the attacks, which allegedly came from North Korea, targeted Sony’s film division, likely in response to the upcoming film The Interview, which parodies the North Korean dictatorship. Attacks also lead to downtime not he Playstation Network.
